Dr Usama Hasan was a guest speaker on “Muslim Question Time”

14th December 2012: Usama Hasan was a guest speaker on the “Muslim Question Time” panel held at the University of East London. He appeared alongside the other panelists, Dr Mohammed Essam El-Din Fahim, Dr Shuruq Naguib, Na’eem Raza, Shaykh Abdul Majid Ali Hasan and Shaykh Suliman Gani.

The three main topics were:

(i) defending the honour of the Prophet Muhammad.

(ii) Muslim women’s dress, especially the niqab: a religious obligation or outdated cultural practice?

(iii) the Arab Spring, Islam and democracy.
