An evening of discussion one year after the declaration of Islamic State

23 June 2015, 18:00 – 20:00

Quilliam requests the pleasure of your company on the 23rd of June, 2015 for a very timely and important discussion on the impact of the Islamic State in South Asia. The discussion will centre on regional and international trends, internal fractionalisation of local militant groups, and the shifting influence of ‘global jihad’. Refreshments will be provided.

The discussion will end with a Q&A session on how policymakers can counter jihadist organisations. More particularly, it will focus on the role that the international community, the governments of India, Pakistan, and Afghanistan, and civil society communities should play in countering the appeal of jihadism, and reversing the trends of radicalisation.
