On 3rd November 2010 James Brandon, Quilliam’s head of research, spoke at the Frontline Club on the subject of ‘Yemen: What happens next’. On a panel with Chatham House’s Yemen expert Ginny Hill and veteran Arab journalist Abdallah Hamouda. James discussed the terrorism threats arising from Yemen and the problems the country faces in trying to tackle corruption, poverty and chronic bad governance. The event concluded with a question and answer session that covered a number of controversial issues including drone strikes and the west’s role in promoting political reform.
