On 25th February 2010, James Brandon, Quilliam’s Head of Research and Communications, addressed a gathering of Moroccan journalists at an event being hosted by the Media Diversity Institute (MDI) and the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) in London.

Speaking as part of a panel on ‘How inclusive is the British media’, Brandon told the Moroccan journalists that while diversity and inclusiveness are important in multicultural societies, a vibrant and democratic media should also continue to challenge difficult issues connected to the culture and religion of minorities.

The delegation of Moroccan journalists is visiting the UK for several days during which they will also visit a number of British media organizations including the BBC, The Guardian and Channel 4 News.
