On 9th February 2012, Noman Benotman, senior analyst in strategic communications at Quilliam,  took part in a lively debate at the Cambridge Union Society. The debate motion ‘This House Believes that the Arab Spring is a Threat to Global Stability’, and Noman formed part of the opposition side, which also included the Labour MP Jeremy Corbyn and the Financial Times Middle East correspondent Michael Peel. On the proposing side was the Middle East Section Director of the Henry Jackson Society, Barak M Seener and the New York Times’ London correspondent, Sarah Lyall. The opposition side won the debate, which was a resounding success.
