Noman Benotman was invited by the Conservative Middle East Council (CMEC) to join a panel of speakers on the 29th November 2011 in the House of Commons. Mr Benotman was joined by Dr Katarine Dalacoura, Lecturer of International Relations at London School of Economics and Baroness Morris of Bolton, Chairman of the meeting, to engange in discussion with the audience. Mr Benotman, in the opening of the panel, spoke about the emerging democracy in Libya after the fall of Gadhafi and the involvement of Islamist parties in the wider context of the Arab uprising.
