By kind invitation of Keith Vaz MP, Quilliam is pleased to invite you to an evening of discussion and debate on the key findings of our recent report Jihad Trending: A Comprehensive Analysis of Online Extremism and How to Counter it.
The discussion will be led by the authors of the report: Ghaffar Hussain, Managing Director of Quilliam, and Dr. Erin Marie Saltman, Senior Researcher at Quilliam, with Keith Vaz MP as chair.
The topics being discussed will include: an analysis of how extremist groups use online platforms, debunking theories about lone wolf terrorists, censorship in the UK, and an analysis of what role the Internet actually plays in the process of radicalisation. The discussion will end with a conversation on how the public, private and third sectors can counter current extremist trends online.
