Quilliam International is excited to launch our new report on Burma and the attack on the religious freedoms, of both Muslims and Christians, in the region. The report is titled “The Rise of Religious Nationalism, Intolerance, and Persecution in Burma” and will be launched with a joint briefing event at the House of Commons on the 25th of April. The report will be released to the wider public on Thursday 26th of April.
The report has been produced by Quilliam International in association with Christian Solidarity Worldwide, a human rights organisation which focuses on defending the right to freedom of religion or belief. With this joint report, we hope to shed light on the critical human rights violations in Burma, an issue that we believe has been underserved in the global political sphere.
We are pleased to announce an excellent line-up of speakers for the event, including Benedict Rogers (Christian Solidarity Worldwide), Mark Farmaner (Burma Campaign UK), Ronan Lee (Academic & Political Commentator), Muna Adil (Quilliam International) and MP Paul Scully (APPG on Burma).
