Following Quilliam’s briefing on the Islam Channel on 30th April, friends of Yasir Qadhi have drawn our attention to a blog post in which Qadhi has responded to accusations that he has denied the Holocaust. In the blog post he says that he regrets having cited anti-Semitic texts in his discussion of the Holocaust and also acknowledges that he made “some serious historical blunders” in his talk as a result of this. He also clearly states that he did not, and does not, “express any support or admiration for Hitler, or claim that all Jews were worthy of being despised or hated”. He also adds that “I firmly believe that the Holocaust was one of the worst crimes against humanity that the 20th century has witnessed”.

In light of this information, Quilliam has amended its original briefing which is available online here.
