Enough is Enough: Quilliam and Maajid do not ‘Peddle Islamophobia’
Quilliam International’s Chief Executive, Haras Rafiq writes about The Guardian US who is the latest organisation to accept that it is untrue to describe Quilliam and Maajid Nawaz as promoters of hatred against Muslims and to amend an article to recognise that fact.
The Guardian chose to publish an article written by someone called Khaled Beydoun, Associate Professor of Law at the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law. The article was entitled: “US liberal Islamophobia is rising 2 and more insidious than rightwing bigotry”.
Executive Director Speaks at Yale University
WASHINGTON DC – Quilliam International’s Executive Director, Dr Muhammad Fraser-Rahim, was a keynote speaker at the DHS funded U.S. Institute of Peace symposium to challenge extremism.
Muhammad along with other leading experts partnered with the oldest and indigenous Muslim community in America, including Masjid Muhammad, an 80-year-old mosque based in Washington, DC.

Quilliam Present to the Danish Institute for Study Abroad
LONDON – Quilliam International’s Head of Islamic Studies, Dr Usama Hasan, and Senior Researcher, Dr Salah al-Ansari, presented Quilliam’s work on tackling extremist ideology to a group of 20+ USA undergraduate university students as part of their European tour with the Danish Institute for Study Abroad.
