Quilliam has Been Teaching at the Muslim College
Senior Researcher Salah Al-Ansari acted as a visiting lecturer at The Muslim College.
He taught Comparative Islamic Law on the Bachelor of Arts degree program. The module sought to explore in greater depth the lives, works and methodologies of the founders of the four Sunni schools of law: Abu Hanifa, Imam Malik, Al-Shafi‘i and Ibn Hanbal. The module also examined the relevance such legal musings have to ethics in modern times and aimed to develop critical thinking and analytical skills among attendees.

Jonathan Russell shared Quilliam’s work to build the capacity of civil society to counter extremism through a range of interventions, focusing on our support to the FATE network and the Extremely Together initiative, and brainstormed the way forward with the other major leaders in CVE.

LONDON – Saeida Rouass, attended a one day Radical Awareness Network (RAN) training at Twitter UK Headquarters. The training brought together a range of grassroots civil society organisations working across the UK on preventing violent extremism and radicalisation. The theme for the day was creating online campaigns around counter and alternative narratives and explored the process of conceptualising, producing and disseminating counter narratives online and through social media.
