Please join us at The Quilliam Foundation Inaugural Summer Ball on Saturday 13th June 2015. We have a limited number of tickets left, so please don’t miss out on what promises to be a night not to forget…..
The evening promises to be an elegant affair. There will be a full range of entertainment including a performance by Adil Ray as the BBC’s Citizen Khan. The evening will be opened by Maajid Nawaz and hosted by Adam Bloom (Mock the Week, Russell Howards Good News) and June Sarpong. (MBE, Loose Women, TV Presenter and Personality). Our guest speaker is the distinguished Rt Hon Hazel Blears MP.
Marking the foundation’s move into the arts there will be a screening of the short films produced by poets, playwrights and the winning entries of the foundation’s short film competition #OpenYourEyes. An initiative aimed at encouraging 16-25 year olds to challenge extreme behaviour and youth violence by using video as a medium.
The summer ball will host some 350 guests ranging from policy makers, celebrities, philanthropists, counter extremism practitioners, to business and media executives.
The foundation operates at many levels from providing non-partisan advice to parliamentarians and European lawmakers, to research, working with the media and the arts, through to outreach in schools, prisons and universities.
